Auditioning for anything can be stressful, but when you are auditioning for classes in acting school, the stress can be severely multiplied. There is so much riding on the audition, not only do you want to get the best part, but your grade and future are depending on it. If you follow these steps, they will help you have a stress-free audition.
• If you know when auditions are, refrain from having too much coffee, soda or energy drinks on the day of auditions. Although you may have stayed up all night practicing your monologue, caffeine can make you jittery and make you feel more stressed.
• Make time to practice at least five minutes before the audition. Warming up your vocal cords for a singing part, stretching your body and practicing your lines can help alleviate some of the stress that may be building up inside.
• Be early! Arrive to your audition fifteen to twenty minutes early. This way you can sit down and relax. It will allow you to have time to focus and practice your breathing. The more relaxed you are in the waiting room, the more relaxed you will be when you are on stage.
• Be prepared! If you are not prepared and confident with how you will perform in your audition, you are more likely to fail. Practice, practice and practice some more. Be confident when you walk into the auditions and give them all you have. Nobody expects for you to be 100 percent perfect every time, but showing them your best should be just as good.
When you are in acting school, you will undoubtedly have a lot of auditions to prepare for. Auditions do not ever get easier, but by following these simple tips you can ensure that your stress level will not be through the roof. The more relaxed and calm you are the better you will perform.
You need to get into acting lessons first. Ask in your school if they have classes and get involved. Once you are on the books of an acting school you will have the chance of being picked out for auditions.

New York acting schools are highly competitive and choose candidates based on their vitals and on auditions. Check out The Julliard School (www.juilliard.edu/) AND The Actors Studio at Pace University, which is an MFA program (www.pace.edu/ActorsStudioMFA ) Both sites have information about admissions and auditions.

Some people do not have to do anything to become an actor. Acting can be a matter of who you know or being in the right place at the right time. Others, go to acting school and live in areas where they can go to auditions.
Firstly you need to start in a good acting school. Secondly make contacts.. Then go to auditions and try your luck. Struggle is all what it takes.
