The world of high school can be scary and confusing, but getting through it successfully will jumpstart a successful future. There is truly no other world like high school.
The following advice can help you survive your high school years:
1.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;You have to fend for yourself. You don’t get to eat lunch with your teacher anymore. You’re on your own.
2.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;You have to keep up with your own stuff: books, lunch money, supplies, P.E. clothes, locks, etc.
3.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;You have to tell people when you need help. The high school teachers typically have too many students to be able to notice everything, and you really can’t count on them to realize you are having a problem.
4.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;When you’re absent, you have to make copies of your documentation and then turn one copy into the office. If you don’t, you will have to explain it later, or you may lose credit for classes.
5.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;You have to realize that the credit system in high school works differently from that of junior high. Each semester counts as a credit, or a half credit, and is considered a separate course. If you fail a class one semester, you typically have to retake it; the grade is not averaged with the grade next semester.
6.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;Grades actually DO matter--regardless of what people tell you. Your grades as a freshman DO count with your overall high school average. Your overall average literally determines where you can go to college and how much scholarship money you qualify for.
7.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;At the beginning of the semester, you should spend way more time listening than talking. Get a feel for your teachers and the other students. Giving the wrong impression early on can cause you problems for an entire year.
8.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;Choose your friends wisely. The people you hang out with determine your success more than anything else--even more than your parents’ influence. Keep in mind that some of these people will stay with you your entire life. The smart kids who make good decisions will also be able to help you more when you are an adult.
9.&nbps;&nbps;&nbps;Take the advanced classes. Not only will you get a better education, but you will increase your GPA overall and you will be more likely to establish the right friendships.

No. But there will be a spin-off, "Ned's Declassified High School Survival Guide"/.The reason the first series stopped is because they were going to move onto high school. And it would be weird to say "Pray to guide that we'll help you survive middle school... ." if they are in High School...
It tells you how to survive school.
Something weird happened, because you classify it as 'weird'. Perhaps it wasn't weird to others. Try to have positive outlook and don't worry, you will survive high school.
