Both rods acquired charge of the same polarity during the rubbing process, so there will be a force of repulsion between them.
electrons are stripped away from the atoms in the glass and transferred to the cloth. This leaves the glass with more positive than negative charge, so you get a net positive charge.
This happens because the negative electrons on the duster move to the polythene rod. Despite this, the rod still has some positive electrons meaning it should be called an unbalanced negatively charged rod. Hope this helps XD
Dust will be attracted to a CD wiped with a dry cloth because it generates static electricity. This in turn causes dust to be attracted.
The polishing creates a static charge in the mirror, which then attracts any dust particles floating in the air. The same thing happens to TV and computer screens.
plastic glass cloth sand wood paper dry air
Some insulators are plastic, glass, cloth, sand, rubber, wood, paper and dry air.
A dry cloth dries best.
Yes, if the plastic is left in it for long periods of time it will dry rot the plastic when it is removed from the rubbing alcohol.
Plastic paint, like acrylic paint, cannot be cleaned with water or any chemical. Acrylic paint can only be cleaned with a clean, dry cloth.

With a cloth
When your doll is wet, dry off all plastic parts of the dolls with a dry cloth. Let it dry in the sun for about five minutes, to prevent molding. After that, dab the cloth part of the body gently with a dry cloth. Flip the doll over and do the same. Let the doll dry in the sun for another five minutes. If the doll has long hair, ring it out. If the doll has short or long hair, dab and squeeze out the water. Let the doll dry on a heater over night, or for a long period of time. When on the heater, do not let the dolls hair dry, it will get messed up and stuck together. Hope this helps!
to dry the cloth (that's what you do in the old days!)
The "stick" is a cleaning rod that is used to clean the inside of the flute. Use a dry cloth, insert in into the rod, and gently insert it into the flute.
