I often like to think that judging how bad a recession is relies upon the perspective of the individual. Even through one of the worst recessions in history, many people have managed to stay gainfully employed throughout the entire period. Yet for others who were laid off and are still struggling to find work, this really is a recession that has hit home. According to a government panel, the "Great Recession" officially ended in June of 2009, but does that tell the whole story?
Unemployment, for example, still remains stubbornly high, and experts don't predict that level falling for some time, if ever. Millions of Americans are still out of work and unable to find employment, and I'm sure if you asked these individuals if the recession is over you would receive a resounding "No." And while the recession may officially be labeled over, that doesn't mean that the country is immune from falling into a new one.
Weaker economic data has continued to climb over the past few months, and the NBER (National Bureau of Economic Research" recently said as much, saying "The committee decided that any future downturn of the economy would be a new recession and not a continuation of the recession that began in December 2007. The basis for this decision was the length and strength of the recovery to date." Troubles in housing also continue to plague many parts of the country, with consumers worriedly watching their home prices edge ever lower. A recovery may be in the works, but it will likely be much slower than many consumers had hoped.

recession it really is recession
Not Really, we are in a recession but not a depression.
There is an old saying...when the United States sneezes, the whole world catches a cold... In other words there is a recession all over the world because the United States is in a recession.
Recession is a period of economic decline, depression is a severe and prolonged recession, and inflation is the increase in prices of goods and services over time.
In June 2010, technically, the recession is now over, but it will take time for the effects of this to be felt around the country.
Factors that affect recession are complex and vary between each incident. What most recessions seem to have in common is an over speculation in stocks, real estate, commodities or some combination precedes the recession. They are usually marked by a loss in confidence by the public which can affect the length/depth of the recession.
i dont know if your a kid but it will be over in 40 days
It is not harmful. It does not cause gum recession or cancer. Nicotine is as safe as caffeine.
The day after obama took office.
A recession is a low point in the economy. A depression is an extreme low point in the economy that lasts a long period of time. We are at a recession, in the 1930's their was a depression in the US.
because the recession is over ... i really cant tell you why maybe there is a tax on it ... or because its "new" people sell it for more ... maybe they have to reconfigure it to a UK bandwidth ...
