You may also be able to get a grant if you are working to develop new technology or new products that the government supports. Maybe you are making an environmentally friendly heavy degreaser for use on naval bases. Maybe you are creating systems that will lower the emissions levels on cars. The government has a strong interest in protecting the environment, so they may provide you with the money that you need to develop and produce these types of products. Not everyone can get funded by a grant, but you will be eligible to apply. You will then have to hope that you are awarded the money.
