There are ways to relieve stress in your life without going to a doctor. Begin my keeping a journal and writing down your thoughts during the day. The ideal time to write things down is at night so you can get everything out of your mind before bed. A nice walk also clears the head of stresses, and promotes physical activity that will aid in relieving pressure from the body.
