When applying your foundation, use a sponge applicator to blend in the edges of the color. This same method of application should be used to gently highlight liquid blush, or use a large brush to feather away the excess color deposits. Unless it’s Halloween, you do not want to have any sharp lines of unblended color showing on your face.

To keep your make-up clean, choose eye shadow shades that are Earth tones or subtle. Sometimes it’s appropriate to create a little drama on the eyes, but that should be reserved for evening wear and never attempted during bright sunlight. To soften up the outline of your eyes, blend a little dry shadow over your liner to reduce a hardened and solid line. However, be sure that you do not go overboard with your under eye shadow, or else you will have the appearance of two black eyes.

Finally, for the clean make-up look, you will need to set your cosmetics with a color-free powder. The loose or compacted powder dries up excess oils and gives your face a flawless finish. Be sure to carry the powder of your choice with you throughout the day for touch-ups every few hours or when you have perspired. Being beautiful takes some effort, so just remember that you are worth it.
