Traditional medical assistants work for physicians in offices and clinics which is why we have knowledge and education from all aspects of the office/clinic setting, front office to billing and phlebotomy, some radiology (sometimes that depends on the state ) and most procedures in office/clinic setting. Degrees in medical assistant can be certified to an associates degree and require testing for registration through the state.
