College internships are a great way to get experience in your field. During your time as a college intern, you should enjoy experience you would never be able to get as a paid employee, and work with people who have experience in your field. During your college internship, you will be able to answer the question, "Do I really like working in this field?"

There is no real average pay for a college internship. For specific information about how much you can get paid, you should talk with your company who you are interning with, and what major you are in. By the time you are ready to do your internships, you will likely have a good sense for whether or not you will be getting paid or not. If you do not get paid, you should still do the best job you can. This will allow you to be able to potentially get a job with the company you are working with, and learn what you do during through the job that you wish to have.

What are the job requirements for a college internship? This is difficult to say, as it really depends on your field. Generally, the only requirement you will find is a desire to want to work in your field. Some specific jobs may have more requirements, but you will usually not need to have any requirements.

What obstacles could you run into during a college internship? Even if you are interning for free, you should keep in mind that there are some places that still can turn your down for the position. College internships are extremely competitive to get, especially if you're in an area with a lot of other colleges. Other than the risk of being turned down for the position, the only real thing that would be challenging to your desire to be an intern is if you have some sort of criminal record. That might bar you from some internships.

What would you expect to do? This varies and is usually done by which job you get. Even if you and a friend have an internship in the same field, you will likely have two totally different experiences. To get a good feel for what you might experience, you should ask questions during your internship interview.
