Again, there is a specific way to study for these tests, so make sure your child understands the method.
Purchase Other Books
In addition to purchasing the study guide from the ACT or SAT websites, purchase other books for your child to study from. All books show the same method, but the questions are different. If you are looking for inexpensive books, go to Amazon.com. You can find used books for cheaper prices.
Take Practice Exams
Once you and your child have read through the practice books and understand what types of questions you are looking at, it is time to practice. For these kinds of exams, practice really does make perfect. Your child can increase their score by two or more points just by practicing. Get Rest
Make sure your child gets enough rest the week before the exam. Sleep is vital for their success, and a test will definitely go better with a clear head.
