If for some reason you are unable to use the navigation system, it is a good idea to have low-tech road maps of the area. This is especially true if you are taking a road trip to a remote or unfamiliar area. The road maps will provide you with the information that you need to keep from getting lost. Roads maps can serve as a backup to your navigation system and provide peace of mind should a problem arise.
