Sam Edelman is a shoe designer who has twice lent part of his name to a shoe company, and most recently the whole thing to a line of shoes for women. The first shoe company, Sam & Libby, was started in 1987 with his wife, Libby. This launched them both into stardom within the fashion world, where they remained until the company was sold to Maxwell Shoe Company in 1996.

In 2004, he and Libby started the second venture, Edelman Shoes, which featured the Sam Edelman shoe line. It was surprisingly difficult for Sam to break back into the shoe industry due to the youthful nature of fashion. However, his previous experience and his ability to spot a trend would vault him back into the fashion pages and help his company win the prestigious Food News Brand Of The Year Award in 2009.

With the help of a partner, the Brown Shoe Company, Sam Edelman was able to produce some of the most notable foot fashion trends of the past several years. The two most widely known are the ballerina flat and the gladiator sandal.

Sam has said in interviews that his success is in large part due to the fact that he loves his work. Rather than sitting on a Sunday watching football on television, he would rather be reading fashion magazines looking for upcoming trends.

The Sam Edelman line of shoes has a variety of different styles, with everything from the above mentioned ballerina flats and gladiator sandals to a variety of heels, wedges, and even sneakers. One of the more noticeable adornments on the various shoes are jewels, which can be found on different selections of each variety.

While the Sam Edelman shoes are fashionable, they are also known for being comfortable. Some have described them as shoes that were made to be lived in, combining youthful energy with worldly sophistication and sensibility.

If you want to know what’s coming next, keep an eye on Sam Edelman’s shoes. He has a knack for predicting the future of fashion.
