Ratchet straps are useful tools when large objects need securing. When selecting the proper size, first identify the purpose they need to serve. Take note of the minimum breaking limit that each strap can handle. Be sure to use a strap with a limit well above the items you are securing. If the ratchet will be exposed to water or submerged, use stainless steel end hooks to prevent rust. Find the right end device to provide safe attachment. S-hooks can attach to anchors or holes while loops can attach to hooks. Use an open end ratchet to tie to bars or beams.

Double-check the tightness of the strap before transporting the load to ensure it is secure.

Attach one end of a ratchet to the supercharger nose(it will hold and not hurt the nose) or any other bracket in the back, then attach the other end of ratchet to the front end of car. Attach the new engine mount onto the engine and then tighten the ratchet strap to bring the engine forward until the new motor mount lines up with the bolt holes. Put the bolt in and tighten. Release the ratchet strap and you are done.
