Another requirement for admission into the U.S. military academies is passing a rigorous fitness test. Kids that attend military school will be trained in physical fitness, which will make passing the test easier. While attending military school is not a guarantee of admission to one of the military academies, it can give students a leg up over the competition.

Finally, military school does indeed help to reform troubled teens. Teens that act out often have problems because they lack structure and discipline. The staffs at military schools will help to instill a sense of responsibility and discipline into any child. Also, attending military school can help to boost a child’s self esteem.

Military schools aren’t just for problem kids. In recent years, they have become perfectly viable alternatives to public schools and expensive private schools that can help to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
