Ingredients

  • 1 c Butter
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 1/2 c Flour

Soften butter and add sugar gradually. Add egg yolk and then flour. Set aside and let harden enough to handle easily for rolling. Break off a piece of dough the size of a walnut. Roll out and cross one end over the other to form a wreath. Brush top with beaten egg white, then colored sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 400 F. until very lightly browned.
