The Predator is a popular character from the franchise of "Predator" movies. Most of the "Predator" movies feature the Predators hunting humans on Earth or other planets. The Predator costume can be a work of art if you just take your time and do it right. There are some elements of your Predator costume that people will be expecting. If you want to make the right effect, then you should not disappoint those people.

Weapons

The Predator has two primary weapons. The first is a shoulder-mounted laser cannon that moves as the Predator moves his head. To create this effect, you can just put a red light inside of a small model gun that looks like a laser gun, paint it dark gray and add it to your costume. The other weapon is two blades that appear over top of the Predator's hand. This is a pretty simple accessory to make, and you can probably buy a plastic Predator blade assembly to save yourself the trouble.

Mesh Shirt

No one really knows why, but the Predator is usually seen wearing what looks like a mesh shirt or a shirt made out of netting. It looks like it is something he hangs the skulls of his smaller kills from, so you can add authenticity to your costume by wearing a mesh shirt with small plastic skulls hanging from it.

The Mask and Face

What makes a Predator costume interesting to people is the combination of the famous Predator mask covering the hideous Predator face. It isn't necessary to go to the extreme of getting a Predator face mask where all of the parts move. That would be expensive and extremely hard to find. But the ugly face mask covered by the protective metal mask is a mandatory feature of any Predator costume.

The Predator can be a complicated costume to re-create, but it the impact it will create at your costume party would be worth it. Pay attention to detail and people will be talking about your Predator costume for years to come.
