Finding a job that is financially rewarding, interesting and secure is a difficult task. The employment advantages RNs enjoy include all three of these aspects, as well as many others.
SalaryThe average salaries of new RNs range between $25,000 and $50,000. Most recent graduates earn at least double the average salaries of new LPNs.
Job DiversityRNs work in a variety of locations. Hospitals, nursing homes, schools, families in private homes and hospice agencies hire RNs. They are also employed by private companies, often hired to provide care and advice only to employees of the company.
Job SecurityWhile many corporations and private companies are laying off employees in large numbers, healthcare facilities are hiring new RNs constantly. As the population continues growing, so will the demand for more RNs.
Intangible RewardsWhen asked, nearly every RN is happy to share fond memories about various patients and their families. The emotional rewards of helping others, seeing the results and receiving acknowledgement can't be measured in dollars and cents.
Health Insurance BenefitsOne of the biggest complaints employees of companies and corporations have is insufficient health insurance. While some hospice agencies and private employers may not offer extensive coverage, most hospitals, nursing homes and schools offer their nurses excellent health benefits.
Useful KnowledgeRNs gain a wealth of valuable knowledge in school. They learn how the human body functions, allowing them to understand illnesses and diseases. RNs also learn how to personally live a healthy lifestyle.
Ability To TravelMost individuals who have a 40-hour work week constantly wish they had more time to travel. RNs are able to enjoy traveling and working at the same time. Temporary traveling positions pay well, often including gas, food and lodging expenses.
Flexible SchedulingThere are usually three shifts available with most nursing jobs. Depending on personal obligations and preferences, RNs may work morning, evening or overnight shifts.
AuthorityRNs who work in hospitals, nursing homes and hospice agencies are authority figures for aides and LPNs. This provides an excellent opportunity for them to be positive role models or mentors.
Comfortable WardrobeThere is no need to wear dress shoes, suits or uncomfortable clothes to a nursing job. RNs have the advantage of wearing comfortable scrubs and orthopedic walking shoes to work.
The benefits RNs enjoy don't stop there. Each nurse has individual experiences that will mold their perspectives, values and character in the future. The job benefits are endless, and the rewards RNs receive last a lifetime.
The average benefits a RN receives is full health benefits after 10 years, yearly bonuses, as well as dental and vision plans. However, these vary by employer.

Nope
Depends. Most hospitals offer full benefits to their full time staff RN's and even a flex benefit for part-time RNs.
Most definitely, nurse anesthetists make more money. For one thing, you must be an RN (registered nurse) to be one, and an RN makes more money than an LPN (or practical nurse), as they have to go to school longer. Becoming an anesthetist takes additional training on top of becoming an RN, but it is a much higher paying area of nursing to go into. It is also a very high stress field, though.
These days, you want the courses that will get you into collage because all the current RN's are collage grads.

The timeline for becoming a registered nurse (RN) often varies according to the individual's education path of choice and speed of their studies. Additional state licensing and regulations can also affect how long it takes to enter the profession. Both 2- and 4-year institutions provide education, which can lead to becoming an RN.
Becoming a registered nurse, or RN, requires 2-4 years of full time college. An associate's degree takes two years and a bachelor's degree takes four years. Both programs end with the designation RN.
The top RN jobs today are possibly nursing, medical doctors, and many others in the medical field. For example a pharmacist, nurse in a hospital or just a doctor in a clinic those are the possibly best jobs in the RN field today.
