1.A foreign language experience is a common requirement for high school graduation in the US.
Since successfully completing at least one foreign language course is a common requirement for most high school students across the US, Spanish, the second most popular language worldwide, is the most logical choice. Having the ability to speak such a popular language gives high school students a more likely opportunity to use the language outside of class to communicate with native speakers. It is also worth noting that a foreign language experience is commonly required for college graduation as well.
2.The knowledge of a foreign language is crucial during study abroad opportunities and travel experiences.
While it can be expected that most Americans speak at least a small bit of English, such an expectation is not recommended abroad. Travelers regularly find the knowledge of a country’s primary language to be most beneficial, and many Study Abroad opportunities involve countries where Spanish is the primary language. The knowledge of the language gives them the opportunity to ask detailed and often important questions, as well as develop meaningful friendships they would not otherwise be able to make.
3.Learning Spanish allows students to better appreciate Spanish-speaking cultures.
Learning Spanish opens many doors into various Spanish-speaking cultures. Basic cable packages often offer at least one channel entirely devoted to native Spanish speakers due to the growth of Hispanics in the United States. Not only will students be able to better understand the programs channels like Univision offer, they will also have the opportunity to pursue Latino music, books, and movies… critical areas of popular culture.
4.Learning Spanish will likely improve a student’s English grammar skills.
Because learning any knew language means learning how to form a proper sentence, recognizing nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc, foreign language students often find their grammar skills in their native language improve naturally.
5.Knowing Spanish is a great resume booster.
Again, because Spanish is an increasingly popular language worldwide, fluency in that language is of great importance to potential employers dealing with clients who are native Spanish speakers. Students will appreciate this perk once they enter the job market.
I would say french and Spanish. There are a lot of French only speakers in my school.
pupitre is a male noun, therefore it should be "el pupitre". And it means school desk
Students at the school ages will not be able to study by themselves, somebody should be there to explain them. So listening by the students in the classes is a must for having the basic of the subject
Languages should be taught in school. The United States is at a severe dis-advantage in the world markets because of a lack of ability in foreign languages. It is one of the few countries that does not make learning a foreign language mandatory in high school. It is not even required in many college majors.
Spanish should be capitalized but olives shouldn't be.
There are several reasons that students should wear uniforms. A uniform advertises the school and announces that the wearer is from a certain school. On a day-to-day basis, a uniform takes away the pressure of buying school clothing and deciding what to wear -- this equalizes the students in the school (somewhat) and helps less well-off students feel that they belong without having to spend money on clothes. It assures that students are properly dressed for school as well.
Students should only do school speeches if they feel comfortable doing the speech.
A school day for high school students should start two hours later, so students can get more rest.
i think only certain students that can be trusted should
If that is the rule at a given school, then yes they should.
Students should be made to wear school uniforms for a few different reason. Every school should have uniforms so that all students are wearing the same thing and can be bullied for that they wear.
School buses are important because they transport students who live in the country to and from school. They also transport students to activities and ballgames.
For primary school (elementary) students, you should have a goal of learning your multiplication tables. For secondary school (high school) students, you should have a goal of mastering algebra.
