Since most colleges have onsite hospitals or clinics, you should be able to find a job doing something applicable while you are in school. Not only will this give you a source of income, but you will also receive experience in working in a medical environment, get used to reading medical files, learn terminology, but also meet people in the industry. By forming relationships with other people in the industry, you could receive multiple sources for letters of recommendation in the future.
