School caseworkers also work with teachers through teacher workshops. The school caseworker may provide advice to teachers about different classroom problems or about the behavior issues of different students.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Caseworkers

Substance abuse and mental health caseworkers are normally employed at substance abuse treatment centers, hospitals and mental health treatment centers. A substance abuse caseworker or mental health caseworker's duties include providing therapy to patients who need it. In addition, the caseworker will help various patients deal with life outside of the treatment center. Some patients have a hard time getting used to life after they have conquered a drug relapse or after they have left a treatment center.
