These days we all have so many occasions to buy gifts for. Weddings, Birthdays, Graduations, Anniversaries, Bridal and Baby Showers, the list goes on and on. It's hard to come up with new and exciting ideas for these occasions. That's where the money tree gift comes into play. These are little trees that you can decorate as you wish and attach money to. They can be made by you, with your own special touches, or there are sites that make them for you. Either way you go, you will be giving a unique gift.
I actually just saw one of these at my nieces bridal shower. It was decorated with miniature weddings bells, white ribbon, little red hearts and had a bride and groom on top. The money attached was a wonderful surprise for my niece. Lets face it, we can all use extra money! Just writing a check is ok, but the money tree gifts make it so much more personal and special. She was delighted with it and it has definitely popped to the top of my gift giving list.
They are usually made with branches and are not real trees, so they will last. It will be something that they will still have even after they have spent the money. Use your imagination and think about how many ways you could decorate these little trees. Little diplomas and caps for the graduate, birthday candles and tiny balloons for birthdays, little baby dolls and pink or blue ribbon for the baby showers. And, of course, the surprise of money attached as well. Luckily, there are so many craft shops that you will easily be able to find the miniature versions of the things you need to make your tree special.
You will stop having to agonize over what to get for that special occasion. If you are like me, I want something different and the money tree gifts fit the bill (no pun intended). So make one yourself, or use a company that makes them, and have some fun with that special gift.

A Money Tree is a fake tree where the wedding cards with money inside are clipped onto the tree with tiny clips. Some couples prefer this so they can buy the things they need or put the money towards their honeymoon or simply save the money.
How do you word an invitation if you are having a money tree at a retirement party and no gifts are necessary but if they want they can put a donation on the money tree?
