There's nothing to prevent a wildfire being caused by lightning (other than tracking strikes with GPS and sending crews to check on them) but all other reasons are basically man-related, and preventable. Don't throw cigarettes out the window of the car, don't mow 3 feet of grass with a lawnmower that's made to mow 6 inches, don't try to make a pot farm in the middle of the forest, don't play with fireworks during the summer time. Do keep a line of bare soil around any campfire or burn pile, Do report arsonists, Do keep matches/fireworks out of the hands of the youngins, Do keep an eye out while you're driving for smoke. That's all we can do. Educating the public on how these things happen is the main way that we try to prevent them. Wildfires are part of the history of our planet and will always occur, but we can have much less damage if we can prevent the human errors that cause them.
Being very cautious with cigarettes in wooded areas or that with dry grasses is an enourmous role in the prevention of wildfires. Sloshing water over fire pits after estinguishing fires is also a good idea.
There is nothing you can do to avoid a wildfire. If you live in a area where wildfires have burned the likely chance that you will again be involved in another wildfire is high.
Dont start them.
Only YOU can prevent wildfires...Before 2001, Smokey always said, "Only you can prevent forest fires!" (Smokey's full name is actually just 'Smokey Bear', without a "the" in the middle.)He is the mascot of the US Forest Service, who controls his image and the campaign to prevent forest fires and other wildfires.)See the related links below for more information on Smokey.
Wildfires destroy homes, property, lives, animals, vegitation.
We need to manage wildfires. SMALL wildfires will burn off the underbrush without destroying the trees, but if we prevent ANY fires, then tons of very dry underbrush will grow, die, and accumulate. When the fire finally happens anyway (which it will), it'll destroy the trees as well.
Wildfires sometimes break out suddenly in hot, dry climates such as brushland.
wildfires can destroy forests and houses and most important they can kill people.
Don't be a absolute douche-bag

Only YOU can prevent wildfires!I really was hoping to prevent a big scene.I refuse to allow your constant discouragements to prevent me from having a happy outlook.
what are wildfires related to
With the proliferation of "brush fires" in places such as California and Arizona, Smokey began saying "Only YOU can prevent wildfires." Previously, his standard line was "Only YOU can prevent forest fires."
wild fires are probably prevented by making sure the gas pipes are in good for so basically to prevent a wild fire is to prevent any gas leaks in the building -answered by a 5th grader

Wildfires kill people and wildlife and destroy property.
No, but global warming can be a probable cause of wildfires.

Wildfires normally happen during the spring and summer when it is hot and dry.
