Garmin's BlueChart maps are maps of coastline intended for marine use. They cover the Atlantic, Pacific and the American continental regions. They discontinued manufacture of this product as of 2008.
The Bluechart Garmin is compatible in The Americas, The Atlantic, and the Pacific. This GPS comes with electronics charts. More information can be found here :http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/bluechart/
Garmin announced almost 20 new marine products in late March, all of which are now available. These include new BlueChart g2 and lots of choices in chartplotters and sounders.

Unfotunatly Tom-Tom mount was designed for a Tom-Tom Gps, which sadly means that no i will unfortunatly not work for a garmin gps. But you can get Garmin mounts for cheap prices.

Garmin Mapping Software is available with or without a GPS sensor depending on your laptop configuration. Try Garmin Mobile PC.
Best buy is the cheapest Garmin GPS. The Garmin runs pretty cheap at an on-line e-bay site or you can bid on one this will sometimes work out real well.
The oldest GPS units don't have the capability to make use of the latest Garmin software. Some of it's designed to work on laptops with gps units.
If under warranty and the model is not discontinued, send it to Garmin. If warranty is expired or the product is discontinued, you are SOL. Garmin is not customer centric and has no intentions of changing their policy.
You can use really any Garmin because most have mounting options for trucks. My personal favorite for a truck is the Garmin Nuvi 350. It is affordable and comes with maps already loaded on it.
