GERD causes great discomfort and in severe cases, can disrupt normal activities. Changing your diet can not only ease symptoms but also help to stop the problem before it begins.

Focus on eating foods that are low in fat and high in fiber, such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Avoid dairy and foods that are extremely spicy. Change the way you eat as well. Consume your meals slowly, and try not to eat too close to bedtime.
