welfare gives you the assistant just go in and tell them you would like to apply for homeless but to apply you must be able to recieve afdc or cash aid
Welfare/DHS!!!! They don't and won't do anything to help me and my children...before i became homeless and now that i am...i moved in w/neighbor and i have been here for 5 years...they want to use his income because he is a man...he is in his seventies for god's sake...i don't qualify for anything because of this...no childcare so i can work...they told me that i was "stuck like chuck"...OMG! Oklahoma sucks! Women and children are getting shafted! We were the victims of circumstanced, domestic violence, rape, divorce, just plain abuse.....not criminals...and leaving us homeless and penniless makes us more vulnerable...What gives?! God did not give me the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind...HE is our provider...
