One of the hardest things to do is to find a good auto mechanic that you can rely on to fix your car right and not charge you an arm and a leg to do so. Auto mechanics that really know how to fix cars are a dying breed these days. Most cars are so full of electronics that you would have better luck as a computer technician than a grease monkey.

If your engine is not sounding or acting just right, the first thing a mechanic will do is hook it up to a computer and wait for the expensive machine to spit out a diagnosis of the problem. That can be helpful sometimes, but many times the machine gives false reading and the problem remains. In the meantime, you pay for an unnecessary repair. Give me the good old days when a good mechanic with a wrench could fix anything.
