The invention of the computer has made the world smaller in many ways. Before the computer people were not kept track of with buying habits, movement, and identity. Today everything we do is noted on a computer. If I look at socks to buy on line the next ad on my home page will feature socks. Stores determine what they sell and buy by keying in what people purchase. At one time only nations could declare war, but today small groups of terrorists can buy and sell arms, connect with people who want to do harm, organize acts, and plan terrorists attacks on the computer. Bin Laudin is a perfect example of this. This has changed the structure of world power. The computer has brought instant communication and data. Opened doors to worlds that at one time were only imagined. If I want to see a museum all I have to do is find the site on line and go there. Only 10 years ago I had to travel to that place to see it. How knowledge is learned has been changed by the computer and the computer has affected all people in some form or another.
