The French monarchy could have reduced its expenditure by implementing several measures, such as streamlining its administrative costs and reducing the lavish spending on court life and extravagant ceremonies. They could have also reformed the tax system to ensure that the wealthier classes contributed more, thereby increasing revenue without burdening the lower classes. Additionally, cutting back on military expenditures and focusing on efficient governance could have helped stabilize finances. Finally, promoting economic growth through trade and industry could have generated additional income for the crown.
