Taxes differ from state to state. 42 cents is probably a fair average.

People who pay more tax that most will naturally oppose higher taxes. It's not that they oppose paying taxes as a means to operate the government but they see waste in government and don't wish to contribute to this. Less wealthy people oppose sales taxes often times because they see this as a tax that they have to pay. We are almost at a point in the United States where half of the people do not pay any income taxes. This means that instead of everyone paying their fair share of the costs of government, half of the people pay nothing towards their fair share. Certain politicians have used this as a platform to stay in office by pandering to those who pay no taxes by promising more programs and such to benefit the ones who pay nothing. In the United States we have a progressive tax system which means that the higher your income, the higher percentage of your income that the government takes to support programs that don't benefit you. Is this fair. This is the debate.
Proportional taxes, often referred to as flat taxes, are tax systems where individuals pay the same percentage of their income regardless of how much they earn. This means that everyone contributes the same rate, leading to a uniform tax burden across different income levels. Proponents argue that it is simple and fair, while critics contend that it can disproportionately affect lower-income individuals, as they may pay a larger portion of their overall income in taxes compared to wealthier individuals.
Ambrose serle was a loyalist which means he was with great Britain on taxes and agreed they were fair
1.you can persuade a patriot to become a loyalist by 1 taxes 2
Why not! If there consider a colonist they got to play taxes. Or if they switch sides they can fight against unfair taxes and be a patriot
yes it kind of was fair because most of loyalist example the black slaves, indentured servants, and merchants all have to do work with wanting to be treated fair, and freedom.etc
They agreed that it was fair to tax sugar and Molasses.
Of course, every citizen had to pay taxes. Since the Loyalist were considered a "colonist" they still had too .
During the Revolutionary War, if you were a loyalist, you were loyal to the king and his taxes on tea. If you were a patriot, you believed taxes on tea were wrong, and supported the war.
i think yes
The term is "loyalist".
If you were a loyalist your home could be destroyed, you had to pay overpriced taxes and you could of get hurt on the street
Yes ,but some people don't think it is fair.
Both poor and rich had the same taxes, and the poor were getting more poor.
