hi ,am rachid working as an airport serveces agent ;i have never faced a pax with dementia.and for sure we can not know if the pax has that illness.before answering the question witch is a little bit complicated let me give a short definition dementia is a loss of brain function that occurs with certain diseases. It affects memory, thinking, language, judgment, and behavior. Symptoms: Dementia symptoms include difficulty with many areas of mental function.it depends on the airline some of them they can accept the pax alone onboard once he is actting normal during check=in and boarding, but most of the airlines will not accept a pax with dementia expcet if the airline doctor has authorized that. ,most of the dementia is escorted or accompnied with one o his family members. specially that only the family can know that he has that disease .anyway am really sorry because i couldn t expalin more clearly. but ,to finalize the case we should not accept dementia alone onboard he has to be excorted or accompnied.otherwise he will be lost somewhere while travelling

This is similar to dementia except that someone who's depressed may be able to recall the new information after a short time whereas an Alzheimer's sufferer cannot usually do so.
