Ok here's what happened to Amelia Earhart people say she crashed in the pacific that's true but here is the story behind that.
Amelia Earhart was sent on a mission to fly across the pacific. She didn't want to turn that chance down so she toke it. She was an amazing flier also Amelia Earhart had a navigator named Fred Noonan. Amelia Earhart had a piece of paper Fred Noonan wrote on and it said to fly left but she taught it was wrong so she flew right. After a while she knew it was wrong.
Ok why she crashed is because she didn't want any extra weight on the plane so she barley filled the gas tank half way and that is how she crashed.
Ms. Earhart and Frederick Noonan, her navigator, disappeared after leaving New Guinea for Howland Island in the Pacific Ocean, while attempting to circle the globe. It is not known for sure that they crashed, but it is presumed they went down near Howland Island due to extremely poor visibility - that is, they probably were unable to find the island and could possibly have run out of fuel in the search. In any case, no trace of them or the airplane was ever found.
Amelia Earhart disappeared in the Pacific Ocean, while on the way to Howland Island. Her plane mysteriously vanished during her 1937 attempt to fly around the world. To this day, despite many theories, neither she nor her navigator (Fred Noonan) nor their plane have ever been found.Amelia Earhart disappeared in 1937 during an attempt to make a circumnavigational flight of the globe in in a Purdue-funded Lockheed Model 10 Electra, Earhart disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean near Howland Island.
