Landing a big airliner is hard for someone who isn't a professional pilot. On a non-ILS approach you should set flaps to 3, maintain speed at 160 knots and decent smoothly to the runway. The hard part is to align with the runway. Try to aim for the lines at the center. When you are about to land lower the gears and set the throttles to "IDLE".
