Airbus is an airplane manufacturer and designer based in Toulouse, France. They manufacture many airplanes, and are famous for their family of jet airliners. They currently make the world's largest commercial jetliner, the Airbus A380.
Jetstar currently (April 2011) have 59 aircraft in their fleet. 44 Airbus A320-200s, 6 Airbus A321-200s and 9 Airbus A330-200s.
A total of 251 Airbus A380 aircraft were built before the production ended in 2021. The A380, known for being the world's largest passenger airliner, had its first flight in 2005 and entered service in 2007. Despite its innovative design and capacity, demand for the aircraft declined over the years, leading to the decision to cease production.
Over the years, they have had 30 Airbus A340's. They are currently flying 17.
[Maybe 3 or 4 or 5 between these figures.]
52 A380's have been delivered or are in service in 2011
There is a difference between the number in service and the number that are fully built but are undergoing flight testing. So as for the number in service (As of July 2011) there are 53 (Including the 1 Airbus test frame). The number that exist is larger than this.
