At cruise altitude (35,000ft) the average cruise speed is 460 knots - 530mph.
Mach 0.80
Its top speed, according to Boeing, is 609 mph
from wikipediaCruise speed Mach 0.80 (530 mph, 458 knots, 850 km/h at cruise altitude, i.e. 35,000 ft or 10.66 km)
it is commonly 140 mph on average
Mach 0.80 (530 mph or 458 knots) at 35,000 ft.
depends on the jet, a Boeing 747-400 has a top speed of 614 mph at 35,000 feet
Mach 0.855 (650 mph) - The Boeing 747-8 (launch late 2009) and the Boeing 777.
528 mph
No one airplane, no one answer. Depends on the weight of the airplane and the size of the wings. Light planes designed for short take offs may lift off at 30 mph. A Boeing 737 jet might lift at 150 mph.
The top speed of a Boeing 787 is about 593 mph.
The max. speed of the Boeing 777 is 590 mph.
Your answer is wrong mate!! I myself travelled in Emirates Airbus Jet A330-200 at a speed of 614 mph which is 989 kmph. Is anybody out there to challenge?JetsThe Concorde s no longer in service but these are1. Boeing 747 605 mph. Fastest operating commercial jet.2. Citation X 607 mph. Fastest business jet.3. Tupolev Tu-114 545.07 mph world record. Fastest turboprop transport.4. Tupolev Tu-144 1,553 mph. Fastest supersonic passenger jet.5. This may surprise some people but the Boeing 727 cruises at 622 mph and can hit mach 1 in a shallow dive... fastest operating commercial jet and it was designed in the early 1960s.EDIT: The Citation X has been recorded at a max of 705 mph.RE AboveJust for info, the Tupolev 144 stopped passenger flights in 1978, and has not flown at all since 1999.
I just flew from MI to AK on a Boeing 757-300. While we were on the Tarmac I occupied myself by reading the safety literature that is found in the pocket of the seat back in front of you. In it they had all of the 757 series planes and the average speed was 528 MPH
