What is the difference between a330-300 and a330-200?

These two aircraft are essentially two different size models of the same basic Airbus Industries A330 airframe. The A330 is generally used for long-haul international routes. The main difference lies in what the aircraft's wings can carry. The - 300 model has a longer fuselage and holds about 300 passengers. The - 200 model holds about 240 passengers in a shorter fuselage but because it carries less passengers (weight) it can carry more fuel and thereby fly longer distances. The Airbus A320, A330, A340 and A380 series are otherwise known for having "sidestick" controllers and "fly-by-wire" flight controls instead of conventional control wheels.
