Airline food is prepackaged food fed to passengers on a plane. Many people do not like it. The taste, much of it has to do with the environment in which you are traveling. A low humidity plus a pressurized cabin does nothing but harm to even food prepared by world-class chefs.

Many airlines have gone to great expense to improve the taste of their food - Lufthansa is a good example as is BA and they all acknowledge that RH and pressure can take 30% off the sensitivity of the tongue. These are published facts.
