You first need to make sure that you have a spark at the plug wire where it snaps onto the plug. If you don't get a spark there when you are cranking the engine over then you should replace the igniton module in the distributor more then likely.
If you do have a spark at the wire then you need to check the fuel pressure and it should have 9 to 13 LBS. of fuel pressure while cranking the engine over.
If it don't but it does have some pressure then you need to replace the fuel pump in the fuel tank.
If it has NO fuel pressure at all then check the fuel pump relay and fuse under the black plastic cover mounted on the passenger side fire wall.
If you don't find your problem in this area, Then please ask your question again telling us what you have checked and what your problem still is.
Yes it is. 1988 and above should all be fuel injection. The 1988 is a throtle body setup. Somewhat looks like a carb. Yes it is. 1988 and above should all be fuel injection. The 1988 is a throtle body setup. Somewhat looks like a carb.
its fuel injected through a throttle body
Disconnect the fuel line from the carb with a 5/8" line wrench then unthread the fitting in the carb with a 1" wrench. The fuel filter is inside that fitting. Take note how the filter and spring are assembled into the carb for reassembly.
Whats next to check on my 1990 Chevy 7.0 for fuel not getting to carb. I have replaced fuel filter and 10 amp fuse?
A 2001 Chevy Blazer does not have a carb. It is fuel injected and has a throttlebody. If the fuses and relays check okay and the fuel filter has been replaced, I would suspect the fuel pump has failed.
You have wires going to the carb on a 72 Chevy c10?
there is no carb on that truck
1998 CHEVY HAD FUEL INJECTED AND CARB ENGINES...IF FUEL INJECTED, THE PUMP WILL BE IN THE GAS TANK AND IF CARB, LOWER FRONT END OF MOTOR ON PASSENGER SIDE.
the 5th character in your VIN is the key to your answer. "M" = 200ci-V6 chevy, "A" = 231ci V6 Buick, "J" = 267ci V8 Chevy, "G" = 305ci Chevy with 2 bbl carb, "H" = 305ci Chevy with 4 bbl Carb, "L" = 350ci Chevy with 4 bbl carb
Need to make sure that you have fire-spark at the plug wire when cranking engine. Then ask your question again I we will answer you, and see if we can help you.
its normal to hear air being sucked in to carb with air cleaner off is it a sucking whistleing sound if so could be an bad vacum hose
disconnect fuel supply line as close to carb as possable crank engine.if fuel comes out fuel line, u know you are getting fuel
