Replacing a heater core is never an easy task, that is why the labor charge is high. You just have to remove the stuff, as you call it, in order to access the heater core. No other way to do it. Replacing the core is simple, getting to it is the hard part.
To remove the heater core on a 1977 Cutlass Supreme, first, disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the coolant from the radiator. Next, remove the dashboard and any necessary components to access the heater core housing. Disconnect the heater hoses from the core, unbolt the housing, and carefully remove the heater core. Finally, reverse the process to install the new heater core and reassemble the dashboard.
The heater core on a 1984 Cutlass Supreme is located under the blower motor on the passenger side of the car, under the hood. First you need to remove the blower, and the hoses connecting the heater core. Replace the core, re-attach the hoses, and put the blower motor back on.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 2005 Chevy Cavalier heater blower motor. Remove the heater blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the heater blower fan.

The a/c heater blower motor resister is located in the vehicle on the passengers side inside the housing next to the blower motor...............Remove the blower motor resistor wire harness connector.Remove the blower motor resistor screws.Remove the blower motor resistor.
Remove the wiring harness to the heater blower fan. Remove the retaining bolts. Remove the fan from the blower. Reverse the process to install the new heater blower fan.
It's on the firewall up high on the passenger side. You may need to remove the alternator to get it out.
Remove the grille panel, the cowl grille support panel, the right headlamp assembly, and the right radiator core support assembly.From inside the vehicle, remove the glove box bin, the right spot cooler duct, and the lower instrument panel skirt.Through the glove box opening and from under the instrument panel, remove the screws and nuts that secure the heater-A/C housing to the dash panel.Remove the screws that secure the flange connection between the heater-A/C housing and the blower housing.Separate the heater-A/C housing from the blower housing, and carefully remove the heater-A/C housing from the vehicle.
You remove the heater blower by removing the bottom cover of the Glove Compartment. Then you will see The heater blower housing. Then you will see like a black clip you need to lift. Then You simply turn clockwise and bingo its off. To install just do the same thing except in reverse mode. Good Luck!!

unplug the blower motor (electrical) Unbolt the blower moter Remove the alternator Remove the top powersteering bracket bolt Loosen the lower powersteering bolt Pry the powersteering pump towards the front of the car as much as possible Have a freind pry the engine towards the front of the car while you rotate and turn the blower motor out of the housing. Caution do not bend the fins on the blower motor. Its a tight fit but will come out with the right angle
