The 30 amp fuel pump fuse on my 1995 wrangler has blown off and on since I purchansed the car 7 years ago. I replaced the fuel pump, and it stopped for a while, but started blowing fuses within 1 and 1/2 years... Initially would blow during rainy weather....now blows if I hit a bump, or accelerate to quickly from dead stop....the short will disappear within 5 to 10 minutes of cooling down. I'm considering by-passing the line from the power dist center (Fuse block) back to the fuel pump itself...I am not looking forward to dropping the tank again so am trying alternate troubleshooting methods.....dealership told me it was the top position sensor...replaced it to the tune of $200+.... fuse blew on the way home from dealership....I'l let you know how bypassing the wiring harness works out.
