Probably, although it might be a heater hose. You will have to access the core in either case. If it smells like anti freeze then you may have a leak. If it is water then check your windshield seal. I have seen water leak down through the window post to the floor.
To remove the heater core on a 1992 Grand Marquis, first remove the dash board. Then remove the AC box to have access to the heater core.
Heater core, windshield, or a clogged cowl drain line. If the liquid tastes sweet it is coolant and the heater core is leaking. Heater core must be replaced. If not, it is one of the other 2 problems.
The heater core is located under the dash board, all you have to do is disconect the heater hoses then unbolt the consol and slide it back far enought to be able to unbole the heater core and slide it out. The install is just reversed from removal. Joe
if its not heater cole ...it could be water getting in from outside your car vents near the wipers clog up with leaves etc.

Its not east. must take out entire dash board as the heater core is up underneath the passenger side cabin inside a case. Only way to get to it is removing everything in the way
