Also, my experience is that the motor mechanisim gets dust and so must be cleaned. When I did this to my car, with a compressor and blow trigger, the fan operated well. Another time, same problem, the compressor and blower didn't rectify the problem, I checked my wiring and lo and behold, it was the wiring. Also, the thermostat tells the fan (by computer) what the motor temperature is and so tells the fan when to turn on/of. Don't mess with the thermostat - just change it. Get a chilton's mechanic repair book and look at the trouble-shooting section for more information. ================ Sensors are likely bad
Air conditioning fan. Turn on the A/C and see which one comes on.
Bad thermostat, fans not working or coming on when they are supposed to, bad waterpump, bad radiator or radiator cap.
No, different body styles.
When the radiator fans dont stop on the 2003-2005 outlanders is because of a faulty fan module that is located on top of the fans. U have to check if ur vehicle is for recall on such part.
The radiator is located in the front of the car under the hood. It is behind the 2 fans. Dont mistake for the a/c condensor, which is in front of the radiator, visible through the grille.
Radiator fan switch fail.
only one comes on for your radiator and the other is for your air condition.
hey there thanks for any help, just bought a nissan primera 1990, both radiator fans dont work and im told the sensor may need changing, does anyone know where i can locate it to replace?
The coolant temperature sensor is located in the intake manifold. Also, the hi pressure switch in the AC line. Also, the relays in the fuse box on the passenger fender.
alot of the time when the censor for the cooling fan dont work, people will hook the fans up direct.Check to see if there are wires coming from the fan to the battery.I hope that helps.Fred
Check for a bad thermostat, under the housing on the engine end of the top radiator hose.
If the radiator fan does not shut off on a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus, the fan relay might be bad. The fan relay is usually located in a bank of relays near the battery.
