start by opening another door so you do not get locked out by accident.... ok. 1. open the door in question from the out side with interior manual lock open now same with interior lock locked. 2. use the power door lock button and unlock the door then open from inside and out side the door now same power door lock and open door from both inside and out side the car. you now know the locking mechanism is working... lets check the lock.... 3. take your key and put it in the other door and just turn it in either direction. if the key in the lock cylinder turns to the 3 oclock and 9 oclock position in that door you know the key is good.. take that key to the door in question and do the same thing. if the key turns about the same distance then the lock is working. but is it connected. now... go to the other door and feel the tension when you turn the key. you will feel a bit of movement then you are turning a bar. immediately go to the door in question and do it again if you do not feel the same tension the bar connecting the manual key lock to the locking bar mechanism has probably disconnected. not to work this entire exercise is about 2 minutes. good luck
The driver door does not unlock the power locks for a few reasons. This motor could be burned out or the wires could not be attached correctly.
By pushing the switch on the driver's side door panel that locks and unlocks the windows.
It should lock and unlock with the power door locks. If it is stuck in the locked position, there is a lever in the trunk on the driver's side behind the carpet that will unlock it.
I think you have to push the 'unlock' button twice in order to unlock the doors.

Your 1998 F150 has 3 relays for your power door locks : an all unlock relay / a driver unlock relay / and an ALL LOCK RELAY I'm guessing that the ALL LOCK RELAY has failed I'm sorry but I haven't found the location of the power lock/unlock relays on your F150 yet ( does anyone know the location of the power door lock / unlock relays on a 1998 F150 ? )
Your Kia driver's side door might not unlock because of a damaged linkage between the inside door handle and the latch itself. You might also have a problem with the fuse that controls the electronic locks.
Then you have to lock and unlock the doors by hand.
Umm, there are still manual locks. Take your finger and push the lock over and unlock the door. Good Luck!!!!
