gear oil goes in rear end of the truck. usually all is needed is a 1/2 inch rachet or 3/8 to loosen the plug to change oil or just add. to drain the plug is usually at the bottom of the center of rear end also called by some the pumking housing / the round shaped housing you can see from the back of the truck when standing about 20 feet behind truck . make sure u get a drain pan for the old oil.
