It is located next to the driveshaft that goes from the front differential to the transfer case (on a 4wd obviously). Specifically, it is just in front of the transfer case, on the drivers side of the driveshaft, mounted on a bracket on the frame. I found mine by going to the library and accessing the online automotive service manuals, which have more information than my Haynes service manual. This same online manual has a removal and installation procedure.
