2003 Chevy trailblazer ls 6 Cy engine code P0440 what do you need to replace Thanks?
There is a problem with evaporative emmissions control system. There was a recall on some 2003 Trailblazers. The problem is that some models came with plastic gas tanks. The connections for the tank were part of the mold of the gas tank. At the time there was no ethanol in the gas. Now gasoline has ethanol and it eats up the plastic. So these plastic tube connections broke over time. The Chevy recall was to repair the crack with epoxy. After a few years that failed too. The problem; they don't make this part any more and there are no after market parts either. So a good epoxy like marine epoxy will fix the problem, at least temporarily.
