You have to make sure the temperature switch is turned all the way to the left, at the last blue notch. Then you have to push the button directly underneath that knob, that has a picture of a snowflake on it. Once you push that an amber light comes on meaning that the button was pushed, and that A/C just turned on. You should then notice the air becoming significantly colder.
