there's a vacuum line reciever close to the air intake manifold. it should be an angled rubber/foam fitting that looks like it's missing a hose...that's it
It should be the same as my 1995 - at the firewall the heater hose nearest the drivers side is the inlet hose to the heater core
vacuum line diagram
If it's the one in the engine bay you talking about, there is one that connects to the heater tap on joint to the heater hose.
On my 1995 Ford Explorer with 4.0 L OHV engine , where the heater hoses are connected right at the firewall , the hose nearest the driver's side is the supply hose to the heater core , and the hose nearest the pasenger side is the outlet from the heater core. (Helpfull)
can you show a diagram of the vacuum hoses for the 1994 ford explorer with a v6 4.0L pushrod engine?

loosen the clamp holding the hose on to a fitting and pull the hose free.
you probabally have a vacuum hose disconnected
For a 1992 Dodge truck, the vacuum hose routing for the heater control typically involves connecting a vacuum source from the intake manifold to the heater control valve. This hose should run to the control switch on the dashboard, which then distributes vacuum to the appropriate actuator for controlling the heat and air settings. Ensure that all connections are secure and check for any leaks in the hoses, as they can affect the performance of the heater controls. Refer to a service manual for specific diagrams and routing details for your exact model.
Check the vacuum operated valve at the hose going to the heater core.
You have a vacuum leak somewhere. Trace the main vacuum hose fom the air intake until you find a crack in the hose.
