I would try checking the engine fan to make sure that it engages when it gets to operating temp.
A wall.
Have you checked the coolant levels or the cooling fan?
Fix the coolant leak.Chances are the water pump has a problem. They were known for having a leak and with no coolant you have no cooling. But you may have a coolant leak elsewhere also. Your cooling system will need to be checked out.
Could be a leak in the head gasket. From the cylinder to the coolant chambers. Have your cooling system pressure checked.
Low coolant? Cooling system airbound? Low coolant? Cooling system airbound?
The main components of a cooling system typically include a coolant reservoir, radiator, water pump, thermostat, and cooling fans. The coolant reservoir stores the coolant fluid, while the radiator dissipates heat from the engine. The water pump circulates the coolant throughout the system, and the thermostat regulates the coolant flow based on temperature. Cooling fans help to enhance airflow through the radiator, particularly at lower speeds.
Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Bad thermostat? Cooling system airbound? Water pump not circulating coolant? Radiator core plugged or restricted? Bad radiator cap?
you should have your cooling fan checked or temp sensor or relay or check your coolant it might be low or thermostat might be no good it should be one of these
Was the voltage to the compressor clutch checked? Not knowing how thorough the under-hood check was, it sounds as if the compressor is not engaging. The causes for that are varied, but it is an electronically controlled event.
The coolant will not protect the cooling system against corrosion.
The cooling fan temp sensor detects the coolant is hot and it will remain on until the coolant cools down, usually in a few minutes. Check the coolant reservoir to be sure the coolant is at the proper level. Must be an import.-Normal.
I am not a car guy, but my low coolant light just came on in my Saturn Vue. I checked the owners manual and it said I should add anti-freeze/coolant. If you go to a car parts store (NAPA, Auto Zone, Pep Boys), they can tell you what type of coolant to add. If the problem repeats, you probabaly have a leak in your cooling system. Good Luck!
