Most automobile axles can be straightened. The cost to straighten the automobile axle can cost more than a replacement axle.

How do I change rear breaks on a 2003 tracker 6cyl 4x4? the axle is in the way...
THE FUEL FILTER FOR A 91 GEO TRACKER IS LOCATED UNDER THE CAR NEXT TO THE FRAME BY THE REAR AXLE NEAR THE FUEL TANK.
You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 2002 Geo Tracker. Remove the end of the axle. Remove the wheel bearing nut. Remove the wheel seal and the wheel bearing. Reverse the process to install the new wheel bearing.
drop front axle shafts and axle housing. drop cross member above axle, pan path free. drop pan pull Timing belt and cog. unbolt pump, reverse. with new gaskets and sealant. tension belt via my pages. http://www.kick-fix.com
1500lbs but your tracker can not properly tow that much weight because there was no factory tow packages that came for or with trackers, they are all after market, therefore you will need a transmission cooling system or you will fry your transmission and damage your transfer case possibly even your rear axle.
The most common axles are the Dana 30s in the front and Dana 20s in the rear. The 30s are pretty tough reliable axles but the 20s were known to be weaker having a two piece axle. There are several one piece axle upgrades, or complete swaps most commonly using the very rugged Dana 44.
Yes, but its a lot of work, you've got to change the transmission, put a front axle in it and all of its parts you've got to go inside then and move the consol so you can put the shift thru, cause the hole for it is there its just covered up.
my 2002 never has ...I know there is a "height sensor-proportioning valve" located above the rear axle which should prevent the rear brakes from locking... when you brake the weight of your Tracker goes forward and the rear actually lifts... this device lessens the pressure to the rear brakes momentarily so they don't lock...
#1 axle is the steer axle, #2 axle is the front drive axle, #3 axle is the rear drive axle.
I believe that would be the rear brake anti-lock control valve. You should still have rear brakes with that disconnected but the anti-lock will not function.
Inner or outer front? I do a lot of repairs myself, engine rebuild, transmission swaps, there are 3 things on a 4x4 I will not open up and fix.. front axle, transfer case, rear axle. I hate the smell of burnt gl5. I hate putting it back together and having a seal tear while pushing the shaft thru it.. unless you are talking about the rear pumpkin seal.. 10-15 bolts new gasket and a little permatex.. So for my answer How would I replace the rear axle seals I would take it to a shop and pay them unless I could find the exact axle at a junk yard for the cost of half of shops fee.
