Do not listen to the masses of people saying "Buy American! Support OUR economy!" because they fail to understand that there are equally as many manufacturing locations for foreign cars in America as there are for "American" cars. A Toyota is probably made or assembled in a factory in America, employing Americans and contributing to the local economy.

Just more expensive and upgraded materials, sound proofing, interiors, marketing, etc. Toyota is obviously from Japan as HQ but the North American Toyota Corp is huge today and one of the largest corps in America. Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars are no longer imported, they are all put together in the USA.
